We got a two bicycle rack in our apartment and didn't want to drag dirt inside or scuff up the walls. The velosock has been great: the bikes look neat, the sock keeps the front wheel from turning, and they make the apartment look better.
It *is* tricky to put the sock on by yourself and we usually do it together, but I have been getting better at it. I realized the important trick is to get it well on the front wheel, so there is no loose fabric there. Then when you stretch it back with your foot, get the pedals covered, and then drag it over the rear wheel. It's a litle harder for a bigger bike (mine is a 58cm frame), but doable by yourself.
10/10 would buy again :)
